Filmmaker Brian De Palma emerged in the late 1960s as part of the "New Hollywood" generation of American directors which included George Lucas, Francis Ford Coppola, Steven Spielberg, and Martin Scorsese. Some of his best known movies includes Carrie (1976), Scarface(1983), Carlito's Way (1993), Mission: Impossible (1996), and The Black Dahlia (2006).
