' There have been several strands to De Palma's career, several strings of pear;s , several personalities a the switch. Firstly there was the radical sixties satirist , then the maker of sophisticated Hitchcokian thrillers throughout the seventies and into the eighties.Later came the dalliances with respectability and the mainstream which brought forth the gangster epics Scarface, The Untouchables and Carlito's Way.' ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
This clear shows that the three films i have chosen to use in my catalogue are correct and there are gangster epics , which have De Palma's signature style.
